Within the "Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia" project training themed "Cooperetives: their Importance and possibilities" was held in Akhtala. "Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia" project is being implemented by the Armenian Young Women's Association and funded by the European Union. The training was conducted by the volunteer of "VISTAA EXPERT CENTER" counseling organization Jim Faber, who was invited by the AYWA.
Beneficiaries of "Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia" project from Akhtala, Alaverdi, Shamlugh, Neghoc, Chochkan communities were participated in "Cooperetives. Their importance and possibilities" training.
Within the training the importance and advantages of cooperatives for community and farmers were presented to the participants, reference was made to basic steps of creating the farmers' cooperative.
Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) has been implementing Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project in Lori Region since May 2013. The project duration is three years from May 2013 to May 2016.
The goal of the Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project is to promote the development of women’s social and economic capacities in Lori region and the improvement of women’s social and economic situation. The project partners are CISP organization, Lori Marzpetaran and Vanadzor municipality. The project is funded by the European Union.
