Training for mass media representatives

Training for mass media representatives was held in Armenian Young Women’s Association office. The training was conducted within Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project which is implementing by AYWA and is funded by the European Union. AYWA’s activity, particularly Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project, upcoming actions and events were presented to training participants by the president of AYWA Lilit Asatryan.
During the training a reference was made to advocacy implemented by organizations and a role of mass media in this process. Strategic and practical steps were suggested by participants in relation to the creation of environment that contributes women's economic activities by mass media’s contribution to public agitation and public awareness.

Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) has been implementing Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project in Lori Region since May 2013. The project duration is three years from May 2013 to May 2016.
The goal of the Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project is to promote the development of women’s social and economic capacities in Lori region and the improvement of women’s social and economic situation. The project partners are CISP organization, Lori Marzpetaran and Vanadzor municipality. The project is funded by the European Union.
