On 7 March 2014, a presentation of the development of the Local Economic Development (LED) model for Akhtala town and the neighbouring communities of Shamlough, Ayrum and Chochkan will be held.
The LED presentation will be organized in the framework of the project Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia.
The Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) has been implementing a project on Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia in the Lori Region since May 2013. The project partners are CISP, Lori Regional Administration (Marzpetaran) and Vanadzor Municipality. The project is funded by the European Union. The project duration is three years from May 2013 to April 2016.
Within the project the Local Economic Development (LED) model presentation for Akhtala, Alaverdi, Tumanyan, Vanadzor and Spitak communities will be conducted aimed at providing the findings of the LED workshop, including analysis of the local economic picture and competitive advantages.
