“New Breath of Culture: Fill Heritage with Life of Arts”: Fifth Creative Workshop

Date of creative workshop is August 15-25, 2013.
The workshop is held in the framework of “New Breath of Culture: Fill Heritage with life of Arts” which is implemented by Armenia, Southern Ukraine (Herson, Nikolayev, Odessa, Crimea) and also in Georgia by Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA), Totem, Center for Youth Initiatives Herons’ , CCC Culture Center, and by Drioni Association which is financed by EU. Individuals and creative groups can participate in the culture workshop from Armenia, Southern Ukraine and Georgia.
Venue: Theodosia Museum of Antiquities, Ukraine
The museum can brag of a set of valuable and interesting exhibits, such Hellenistic marble lions and a plate with the image of a griffin as Fatima's family tree of 1461, conducting an origin from Mohammed, Ancient Greek pottery, ancient doors from the Armenian monasteries. In the hall “Nature of the Southeast Crimea” it should be noted an inlaid floor with the peninsula schematic map executed with application of local colorful clay.
Long time the museum was called as the one of local lore. The historical name “Theodosia Museum of Antiquities” was returned to the museum in 2010 that positively affected its attractiveness, especially for tourists.
Now the majority of public actions take place in the yard-lapidarium. Here since 2003 the author’s song festival, jazz festival and also various theatrical performances have been held. In the yard there are marble lions, whose backs are “sat out” by several generations of visitors. They are an integral attribute of the museum, its brand.

Number of participants: 7 participants from each country, total 21 participants.
Age of participants: From 18 to 35 years old.
Participant of this workshop have to bring notebook, photo camera and must have experience of work in PhotoShop.
For participating in workshop you need to fill appropriate application form, also CV and photographic work and/or works of art and send it to workshopuag@gmail.com.
All costs are provided by organizers.
Applications deadline is July 10, 2013.
Applications submitted after deadline will not be considered. Persons, who send applications after deadline, can’t participate this workshop but can participate next events.
