Women's Entrepreneurship Week was organized within the Global Entrepreneurship Week. More than 140 countries joined the week.
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day and Week in Armenia aim to promote women's entrepreneurship development and empowerment in Armenia through increasing awareness on WED movement and entrepreneurial activities around the world, through establishing new partnership among women entrepreneurs in Armenia.
Women's Entrepreneurship Day (womenseday.org) is a global movement that brings together about 150 countries. The movement aims to empower, support and celebrate women's entrepreneurship worldwide.
Since 2015 AYWA and WENA president Lilit Asatryan has been elected as WED-Armenia ambassador thus AYWA is the implementer of WED in Armenia.
Within the Women's Entrepreneurship Week in Armenia AYWA organized various events: training, discussions, experience sharing visits, EXPO, «My successful business» photo contest.
Within the Women's Entrepreneurship Week November 19, 2015 has been celebrated as Women's Entrepreneurship DAY in Armenia.
Women's Entrepreneurship Week in Armenia was consisting from the following events:
Round table discussions on November 17 and November 19, 2015 in Yerevan, “Double Tree by Hilton” hotel (coming soon), and one on November 20, 2015 in Vanadzor, Lori region of Armenia. The round-tables were organized within AYWA's “Social and economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia”project, which is funded by the European Union.
- On November 17 the discussion topic of the round table was “State and International Organizations Support to Women Entrepreneurship Development in the Republic of Armenia”.WED Armenia Ambassador, AYWA, WENA FCEM-Armenia president, member of the RA Public Council Mrs. Lilit Asatryan made the opening speech. During the discussion welcoming speeches were made by Mr. David Dole, Resident Representative of Asian Development Bank in Armenia, Mr. Karen Gevorgyan, Deputy Executive Director of SME DNC of the Republic of Armenia, Mrs. Anahit Simonyan, Head of UNIDO Operations in Armenia, Mrs. Zara Ohanyan, EBRD Small Business Support Project specialist. During the discussion representatives of state, international organizations and business sector presented their projects in promoting women's entrepreneurship, different services provided by them to women.
- On November 19, 2015 The celebration of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day was held. The day was full of various events. During the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day meeting and discussion, EXPO, “Women's Entrepreneurship Ambassador” Award, “My successful business” photo contest were held. During the discussion success stories of women entrepreneurs from different fields have been presented, also perspectives and obstacles for entrepreneurship development have been discussed. After question and answer session successful businesswomen shared their thoughts for future and wished first of all to follow the dreams, and some day each person in the audience will reach it. EXPO with the participation of AYWA WENA members, “Social and economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia” project beneficiaries and other women entrepreneurs' products throughout Armenia was held parallel to discussion. Visitors have an opportunity to try different sweets, food, to find interesting handmade works. Along with the EXPO “My successful business” photo contest was held. Women entrepreneurs from Lori region and AYWA WENA members had an opportunity to show their activities in business field through photos. “Women's Entrepreneurship Ambassador” Award is one of the promoting events for women entrepreneurs. Since 2011, this award has been organized by AYWA and WENA.

- Mrs. Gayane Simonyan the founder of “BeeArt” honey candles production,
- Mrs. Anahit Jaghinyan owner of "Jah-Saldo" LLC, pastry production.
- On November 20 Round table discussion on “Women’s Entrepreneurship Situation and Perspectives of Development in Armenia” was held in Vanadzor, Lori region. WED Armenia Ambassador, AYWA, WENA FCEM-Armenia president Mrs. Lilit Asatryan made the opening speech. During the discussion welcoming speeches were made by Mr. Arsen Darbinyan, deputy governor of the Lori region, Mrs. Lilia Davtyan, head of projects and external relations department of Vanadzor municipality. The main actors in the sector presented the problems in the region. Mr. Sevak Apujanyan, the head of SME DNC Lori branch, Mr. Ara Araqelyan the director of State employment service Vanadzor branch, Ms. Christine Hayrapetyan, Director and Country Representative of CISP Armenia. During the meeting WENA members and women entrepreneurs presented their success stories.
