AYWA Participated in the Celebration of Europe Day

Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) participated in the information exhibition dedicated to the celebration of Europe Day in Yerevan.
During the event more than 60 EU-supported projects were presented to visitors. The projects related to the development of youth and education, poverty reduction, trade, culture, environment, business, social and economic reforms and other sectors.
AYWA presented the EU-funded Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project.

Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) has been implementing Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project in Lori Region since May 2013. The project duration is three years from May 2013 to May 2016.
The goal of the Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia Project is to promote the development of women’s social and economic capacities in Lori region and the improvement of women’s social and economic situation. The project partners are CISP organization, Lori Marzpetaran and Vanadzor municipality.
The project is funded by the European Union.
Within the project, local economic development projects will be designed aimed at promoting the community development. These projects will be based on the competitive advantages of the communities. With the LED models,educational and awareness raising training workshops and discussions will be conducted,aiming at promoting entrepreneurship among women. Besides, training will be conducted aimed at encouraging women's entrepreneurship, as well as financial assistance will be provided to the project beneficiaries to implement business projects for promoting the community development.
