AYWA Participated in 7th Panarmenian Barbeque Festival

The traditional 7th panarmenian barbecue festival was held in Akhtala, Lori. Armenian Young Women's Association(AYWA) also participated in the festival. The festival was attended by 23 restaurants, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, individuals, team of Ministry of Defense of the RA and participants from Georgia. The festival has been organized by “Armenian cookery traditions development and protection” NGO. The festival was accompanied by performances of Orchestra Ministry of Defense of the RA, traditional dance and music groups. Various products of HayKar social enterprise, works of carpeting and pottery groups established in Lori Marz bay the initiative of AYWA, as well as souvenirs, beeswax candles, confectionery made by WENA members was presented by Armenian Young Women’s Association in the festival of barbeque, art and music.
Barbecue festival is being held since 2009.
Armenian Young Women's Association has its unique role in creating and implementing the idea of the festival. The festival aims to promote the formation of positive and attractive image of tourism of Armenia and Akhtala community in international and domestic tourism market. It also aims at maintaining and developing of Armenian traditions and culture, by popularization and making internationally recognizable traditional dishes, including various types of barbecue.
