YEREVAN. - The “Armenian Young Women’s Association” NGO (AYWA) is carrying out the “Women’s Entrepreneurship Development in Armenia” Project to stimulate women’s involvement in the business sector, AYWA President Lilit Asatryan said during a press conference on Saturday.

Вовлеченность женщин в разные сферы деятельности в Армении чрезвычайно низкая. Причина этого не только в том, что на женщинах в основном лежит бремя семьи, но и в том, что в Армении мужское сообщество, которое не терпит активной роли женщин.

“The women’s involvement in political, economic, cultural or any other sphere is not enough yet. We carry out work in all spheres, try to involve all the business women, to provide them with consultations, to discuss their problems as well as to promote the activities of the women involved in small and medium business,” said head of the “Armenian Young women’s Association” Lilit Asatryan.
