YEREVAN. - The “Armenian Young Women’s Association” NGO (AYWA) is carrying out the “Women’s Entrepreneurship Development in Armenia” Project to stimulate women’s involvement in the business sector, AYWA President Lilit Asatryan said during a press conference on Saturday.
In her words, this project is aimed at Armenian businesswomen and their joining together in one network. The Project envisions meetings, discussions, creation of a website for woman entrepreneurs, consulting, etc. Asatryan noted that a contest entitled “Heroine of the Food Sector” will also be held along the lines of this project.
Lilit Asatryan also underscored the need for a public engagement by the small- and medium-size business’ woman entrepreneurs, and she stressed that seventy percent of Armenia’s unemployed are women.
