Local Economic Development Model was presented in Spitak

The presentation of results of the Local Economic Development (LED) model for Spitak town and the neighboring communities of Lernancq, Jrashen, Lernavan, Saramej, Shirakamut, Geghasar, Sarahart, Shenavan, Qaradzor, Ghursali, was held in Spitak.
The LED model presentation was organized in the framework of the project “Social and Economic Empowerment of Women in Armenia”, which is implemented by “Armenian Young Women’s Association” NGO and funded by the European Union.
The participants of the event were the beneficiaries of the communities’ economic development, including local authorities, the representatives of private sector and CSO. During the event the main directions and perspectives of the cluster’s economic development were presented, so as competitive advantages, existing and possible economic relationship between communities’, actions and projects based on local opportunities, which will contribute to communities’ economic development. The experts and representatives of project’s local team presented the results.
