Establishment of "Girls’ State Movement in Armenia" project- Apply now

Armenian Young Women’s Association is announcing about gathering the applications for winter camp within the “Establishment of girls state movement in Armenia” project.
“Establishment of Girls’ State Movement in Armenia” project is financing by the US Embassy in Armenia.
“Establishment of Girls’ State Movement in Armenia” project is designed for girls aged from 13 -18, who live in the Republic of Armenia.
The aim of the “Establishment of Girls’ State Movement in Armenia” project is to increase 13-18 years old girls’ awareness about RA management system, democratic processes, help them identify the young girls’ rights and obligations system as Armenian citizens, to strengthen their trust, pride and love towards their country. The project aims also to educate responsible citizens for the RA.
Within the project the discussions, courses, meetings with representatives of different fields will be organized. Network of 13-18yeras old girls will be established through which girls living in different communities will have the opportunity to know each other be aware of other communities’ problems and achievements share their experience, plan and implement joint initiatives implementation of which will bring to communities’ strengthening and will increase the level of participation.

Within the “Establishment of Girls’ State Movement in Armenia” project winter camp will be organized from January 13 to 23 of 2011 in Tsaghkadzor.

The camp participants will have knowledge about leadership, personal skills development, team work, volunteerism and so on. Debates, contests, games, interesting events will be organized also a meeting with successful women representing different fields who will share their experience with participants will be organized.
In winter camp organizing within the “Establishment of Girls’ State Movement in Armenia” project girls aged 13-18 from all the regions of the Republic of Armenia, who want to have leadership skills and actively participate in their communities for improving their environment can participate.
The total number of participants of winter camp at minimum is 75, by 7 participants from each region.
For participating in the project it is necessary to fill the application form and send to info@aywa.am email or submit to AYWA office Yerevan, Abovyan 37, apt 9 (throw it in the mailbox near the AYWA office entrance).
The shortlisted applicants will be informed till January 7th of 2011.

The deadline for submission is January 3rd, 2011 at 5:00 PM.
The shortlisted participants also should submit a doctor’s reference.
Armenian Young Women’s Association will inform participants’ schools’ administrations in a written form.
