The Project is funded by the Government of the Netherlands.
The goal of the “Promoting Women’s Participation on Local Level through social entrepreneurship” Project is to increase participation of women in social, political, and economic life of their communities through enhancing their skills and abilities and endorsing their self-confidence and motivation.
In the framework of the Project a 3-day capacity building training (1-st phase) will be held in the selected communities. The goal of the training is to increase women’s participation in social, political, and economic life through knowledge and entrepreneurial skills’ development.
The project is being implemented in the following areas:
- Yerevan
- Shirak region
- Lori rgion
- Tavush region
- Gegharkunik region
- Kotayk region
- Aragatsotn region
- Armavir region
- Ararat region
- Vayots Dzor region
- Syunik region
Women council leaders will be selected by the each community council. The leaders will have an opportunity to present their projects of establishing social enterprises in their communities during the capasity development 2nd phase training. The 2nd phase of the training will be organized during April-May.
The groups have an opportunity to work with the mentors after the trainings.
The best ideas of establishing social enterprises will take part in grants contest (€ 700-1000) of the Project.
Limited number of participants from the above mentioned communities will be able to take part in the training. The training participants will be selected based on application froms and interviews.
