Within the frameworks of Women Entrepreneurship Week in Yerevan, which was held in Armenia for the first time, on the June 9th, 2015 Yerevan State University hosted the president of Armenian Young Women’s Association and Women Entrepreneurs Network in Armenia Lilit Asatryan, Vice-President of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs Marie Christine Oghly, Secretary General of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs Joelle Baccialon and Head of the European Network of Women in Leadership Nestan Kirtadze. The host side was represented by YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan.
At the beginning of the meeting Ruben Markosyan presented the activities directed at the development of the business environment at YSU.
Secretary General of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs Joelle Baccialon added that entrepreneurship is indeed a passion, and one must love what she/he does.
Then women entrepreneurs answered the students’ questions related to the first steps of starting a business, the necessary skills, product development process and finding a market for the product.
At the end of the meeting Ruben Markosyan handed the representatives of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs YSU Commemorative Medal on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of this organization. They will pass this medal the President of this organization Laura Frati Gucci And Lilit Asatryan handed YSU Acting Rector Aram Simonyan and Ruben Markosyan letters of gratitude for supporting the conference.
